Zabbix is an open source solution for distributed system monitoring. It is a software solution that monitors numerous parameters of a networks and the health and integrity of servers.
It uses a flexible notification mechanism that allows users to receive notification of the change of position any part of the monitoring system, enabling rapid response to problem areas. All data that are collected by Zabbix are stored in the database, based on which, we can visually and through reports do capacity planning system. Zabbix supports the creation of third party plugins, one of them is Orabbix, which is used for monitoring Oracle databases. Zabbix is free to use and is distributed via the GPL 2.0 license.
