Assumptions are the conclusions we draw based on our own prior experience.
We often can't tell the difference between our assumptions and facts, and when acted upon, assumptions don't make good results in technology, nor do they bode well in romance.
Kellyn and Tim are tech geeks with a certain amount of good and bad experience in both technology and romance, and they share those experiences with this presentation comparing a blind first date between two techies.

Tim Gorman, coauthor
Tim Gorman has worked in IT on relational databases since 1984, as an Oracle application developer since 1990, and as an Oracle DBA since 1993.
