When business users can’t describe how they will use the data but will often profess “they will know it when they see it”, is interested in what unanticipated factors influence a sentinel event, can articulate what data sources are of interest and identify what contained in these data sources they want to analyze, and often perform the same repeated analysis but never the same way twice - it's time to move forward and complement classical BI tools with "Data Discovery" technologies like Oracle Endeca.

Ljiljana Perica graduated in Telecommunications and Informatics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb and is currently completing postgraduate studies in Business administration (MBA) at the Faculty of Economics.
