One of the biggest challenges in the continued development of complex applications is proving that the program code upgrade did not violate previously implemented application functionalities.
Building a reliable and sustainable test system is perhaps even more complicated than the system functionality implementation itself.
We will present our experiences in the preparation of the test environment of ADF applications. Due to the high dependency between the app and the data in the DB, special attention is dedicated to automating preparation of initial state. We will talk about our solution and the problems that we have encountered, as well as the benefits that came as a result of integrating functional tests in the development process.
