Database administrator is responsible for accomplishing critical task of protecting information stored in databases.
Therefore, every DBA should be able to efficiently and safely perform backup and recovery activities.
This session will help attendees to understand and learn:
• Fundamental backup and recovery concepts,
• New features and enhancements (NOOPEN option, Table recovery from RMAN backups, SYSBACKUP, Backup and Recovery in Multitenant environment, etc.),
• Different backup and recovery scenarios (will be shown through demonstrations).

Maja Veselica, author
Maja Veselica, MSc in Software Engineering, works for Parallel as a Consultant.
Zoran Pavlović, coauthor
Zoran is a database researcher. He works for Parallel as an Oracle Technical Architect, and he also works as an external instructor for Oracle University across EMEA region.
